About Body Canvas

What is Body Canvas?

Body Canvas was first created in 2010 by Clinton Kopittke and Dimitri Ledenyov - two entrepreneurs, mates and business partners who were thinking of creating an entertaining and exciting event that would really attract attention.

At the same time, the pair experienced the sudden passing of a mutual close friend - Dr. Annie Guillet, a beautiful and amazing woman - at the young age of 32. As a kind gesture and tribute to their friend, they decided to donate a share of their expected profits to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Without giving it a second thought and with mainly business interests at the core, the pair was ready to sell some tickets. But little did they know, and often as fate would dictate, life had other plans for the direction and purpose for Body Canvas.

As the event unfolded and started to take shape, people from all over the world began getting in contact and wanting to be a part of the event. Models, Artist, Musicians, TV personalities, Sports Stars and Celebrities were all too willing to participate and get involved. Then the media joined the collective effort. Newspapers, magazines, and social media were alive with activity, even the American media covered the story. But it was the '7pm Project' television show that really put the event on the map, by featuring a live segment on National TV.

In total, the first event in 2010 reached over 2.2 million people through various media outlets that covered the event. It soon became clear that this event was shaping into something special. So many people have already been touched by cancer in some way, which is why so many people wanted to be a part of the event. The passion to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation is truly alive in the community.

As a result, the founders decided to make Body Canvas a fully charitable event dedicated to raising awareness about Breast Cancer, with all profits going directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
